I have just moved back to Virginia after living in Colorado for many years and am looking to meet and connect with people in the area. I am used to living in a place where most have very active lifestyles, so I am interested in meeting someone who wants to get out and DO things! I really love live music, especially jam bands, and have very varied taste, although bluegrass is about as country as I get! Taking care of the environment and giving back to the community are things I try to incorporate into my life, so a philanthropic spirit is a plus. I am very easy going and laid back, try my best to be non-judgemental and respectful of points of view other than my own. And a lively debate about the issues of the day or differences of opinion are always ok, as long as it never turns mean spirited or angry. Life is too short for negativity, so a positive attitude is very attractive. So is honesty and mutual respect. I would love some help getting to know the area again. It's hard to just type a list of qualities that are important, because it is hard to say what sparks chemistry, (it is just there or it isn't, right? ). I so appreciate someone who is honest, intelligent, laid back, has a silly sense of humor, and certainly someone who likes to have fun but is not looking to necessarily relive their college days! I would like someone who could recommend a great book that they read, might enjoy a board game or two, but - I also LOVE live sports events! (Just recently had to give up my Broncos season tickets.) If you get angry easily or while driving around in the traffic here, or because you didn't get the parking spot you wanted, then we probably have a very different outlook! But if you can share a good laugh over the most embarrasing thing that has happened to you on a date, and have some patience for life's curve balls (and some resourcefulness for dealing with them).....
